ANSWER: Well....good question. And I don't have an "easy" answer for this one. I don't participate on any Yuku boards, so I have no idea how to apply themes to a Yuku board. Having said that, for those that do know how to do so, you are welcome to use the themes you find here on Yuku. ANSWER:

The tdf (Theme Defination File) contains the color codes and image links needed to install a given theme on your board. In most cases, tdf's posted by other people have abreviated url's for the images. This is to help prevent bandwidth theft (either intentional, or accidental).

To successfully install a tdf, you have to have corrected url's. ANSWER: Most of these themes were created within a single forum. Options are not included. It's very possible you have different options selected for your board, and that is causing the differences you see. ANSWER: They are in a zip file, and you need to unzip them before you can access them. There are many programs available to do this, one or more of which might even be pre-installed on your computer. If you simply cannot open a zipfile, you can right-click on each image in a theme, and select SAVE AS into a folder on your hard drive. ANSWER: It's an ezboard bug. The Who's On Line text color can only be set from the main page. ANSWER: Yes. Import the theme into a test forum on your board, and then tinker with the colors until you get them to suit you. If you want me to do it for you, I'll have to get ESP first since I don't have any idea what someone else wants. ANSWER: First of all, are you sure? A HUGE percentage of people have a small amount of webspace and bandwidth that comes with their ISP subscription, and they just don't know. CALL your ISP and ask them. They can even help you set it up and talk you through uploading images.

Second, there are a VERY few sites out there that still allow a minimum of hotlinking, but they are shrinking and disappearing almost daily. ANSWER: No. These images are hosted on my own paid website, not Ezboard and not a free webhosting service, and linking to them would use up my allotted bandwidth. I pay for bandwidth, and have a set amount to use each month. If it's abused and used too quickly, then my server will cut me off and no one will be able to see their images until the bandwidth usage resets, which only happens once a month.

ANSWER: Yes, that's what these themes are for. The only REQUIREMENT is that you upload all images to your own server. Hotlinking my images uses up my bandwidth, which could case all my images to disappear until my bandwidth resets. If I have a problem with hotlinking, I will investigate, and anyone found stealing my bandwidth WITHOUT PRIOR PERMISSION FROM ME IN WRITING will be reported to ezboard legal.
